Tips from an Expert

What type of temporary positions are available for skilled workers?

Nowadays, there are many and various ways that companies make use of staff leasing: to supplement their current workforce during busy periods, to cover a temporary absence, to assist on a key project that requires more staff, or to fill a role temporarily while they decide whether it is required in the long term. Staff leasing, therefore, makes it possible to find a job in all business areas, for example in accounting, IT, HR, logistics, etc.

Why would you recommend a temporary position to a skilled worker?

Temporary positions allow you to stay in tune with the labor market while still developing and honing your skills and industry knowledge and, of course, while expanding your network of contacts.
Furthermore, a considerable number of temporary positions (20 percent) lead onto a permanent contract, either in the same position or in another department at the same company.

What advice would you give to a skilled worker?

Regardless of the type of temporary position, you should take the time to properly look into the job and ask yourself whether it will help you gain further experience. That could mean learning how to use a new tool or spending time working in a dynamic field which offers potential for development in the short or mid term. Perhaps there might also be the prospect of a permanent position down the line – the possibilities are endless.
