Tips from an Expert

Who is staff leasing suitable for?

Temporary staff are now being recruited in all professions. These positions can be time-limited or open-ended, so the word 'temporary' is not always really the right one to use. A staff leasing position can definitely sometimes last for a year or two or even more, and even result in permanent employment. However, positions that last for just one day, a couple of weeks or a few months may also be arranged. This wide range of options and the resulting flexibility make up the most important and interesting aspect of this form of employment, for both employees and companies.

How do you start your working career with staff leasing?

The recruitment process for a staff leasing employee is the same as for all other applicants. However, the process is much faster to ensure that the staff leasing employee is made available to the employer more quickly. This is where personnel consultants come into play, as we work on behalf of our customers to ensure the best possible match. Anyone interested in a staff leasing position should therefore keep an eye on and apply for vacancies at recruitment agencies. Unsolicited applications are also an option, of course, and we will process these based on how well suited these are to our current requirements.

What else do you need to know?

One issue that personnel consultants are faced with daily is applicants submitting applications that are incomplete, outdated or not suitable for the position. Applicants like these are generally not shortlisted and are rejected. It is important to remember that you still have to meet the vacancy requirements for staff leasing positions. A complete application file significantly increases the applicant's chances of being taken on for work. Applicants should also follow the application procedure set down by the personnel consultant, otherwise the application may not even be considered at all.
